Recording where a page lives

The tracker can only credit a page it knows the address of. When it does not, it goes on treating the draft as unpublished, which is how "publish this" can be pointed at a page that went live two weeks ago.

What it finds on its own

Every day it looks for each open draft at the draft's own address on your site, and records it when found. A page that has moved is followed through its redirect. A page whose slug you changed at publish time is a fact only you hold.

Tell it

On the draft's Publish tab, paste the live address into "Once it's up, where does it live?". Or open the question and use Already published it?. Either fetches the address to confirm it is live.

Two claims, and only one can earn

When a draft exists you are asked which is true: I published the page you wrote, or this page was already on my site. The first records a publish date and can support an earned win. The second records that the page exists, and a later citation reads as found, not earned. Choose honestly; the receipt says which it was.

A WordPress draft is not a publish

Saving to WordPress as a draft is allowed, but nothing counts until the page is live. The board does not move for a draft.
